Tragic Fatal Crash In Central Fresno Claims Life Of 30-Year-Old Woman
A tragic car accident occurred early Sunday morning in Central Fresno, resulting in the death of 30-year-old Crystal Barrera. The incident took place around 1:45 a.m. at the intersection of Cedar and McKinley avenues. Fresno police responded swiftly to the scene after reports of a severe two-vehicle collision.
According to investigators, a Honda was traveling at high speed northbound on Cedar when it approached the intersection. The vehicle then rear-ended a Chevrolet Impala, causing a violent crash. The impact propelled the Impala through the intersection and into the southbound lanes of Cedar.

The female passenger in the Chevy, identified as Barrera, was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the Impala sustained serious injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center. The driver of the Honda also suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the same hospital. Authorities arrested the Honda driver on suspicion of driving under the influence.
