William Parker South Obituary: Myers Park High School Mourns Loss Of Student
It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of Myers Park High School senior William “Parker” South. Parker died today, and our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathies are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
Parker was known by his friends for his loyalty, engaging personality, and loving spirit. He brought joy and positivity to those around him, and his absence will be profoundly felt by our school community and extended network. His warmth and kindness touched many, and he will be dearly missed.

In response to this loss, counselors will be available tomorrow and in the coming weeks to support students’ emotional needs and assist with grief processing. The Wellness Center will remain open throughout the school day, offering a safe space for students and staff to seek comfort and support as they navigate their feelings.
Our school community is resilient, and together we will honor Parker’s memory by supporting one another through this difficult time. We encourage anyone struggling with grief to reach out for help and remember that you are not alone.
