The local hockey community is mourning the loss of Mission City Outlaws head coach Martin Hak, who tragically died at the age of 47 following a car accident in Maple Ridge. The incident occurred on November 9th on 128th Avenue near Laity Street around 5:30 p.m., involving multiple vehicles.
Hak was a respected figure in British Columbia’s hockey scene, known for his keen intellect, passion for the game, and vibrant personality. He had recently been appointed head coach of the Outlaws after a successful stint as an assistant coach with the Ridge Meadows Flames, where he helped win two Stonehouse Cup Championships.
