A Pillar Of The Upper Hutt Cosmopolitan Club Has Died

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bryan Rapley, a beloved pillar of the Cossie Club for many years. Bryan was more than just a staff member; he was a true character who brought warmth, humor, and a larger-than-life personality to everyone around him. His vibrant spirit and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on the club and its community.

Bryan dedicated countless hours to the Cossie Club, becoming an integral part of its fabric. His infectious laughter and friendly nature made him a fixture in the lives of many members and staff alike. Though we usually refrain from posting obituaries, Bryan’s unique contribution to our Club family warrants special recognition. He was a one-of-a-kind individual whose legacy will continue to inspire.

A Celebration of Bryan’s Life will be held at the Club on Friday, 14th November 2025, at 11 am in Function Room 1. All who knew Bryan are warmly invited to attend, share stories, and remember a man who gave so much of himself to our community. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
